Weekly Chatter 3

chatter

My weekly list of what I’m enjoying or pondering - Weekly Chatter 3.

Discovery of the week

Masters of Scale by Reid Hoffman I am a huge fan of podcasts, that’s how I motivate myself to do chores, grocery shopping or other monotonous activities. My favorite podcasters are Tim Ferriss and Scott Hanselmann. There are many other recordings that I listen to sporadically, including, but not limited to, DevTalk.pl, StartWithWhy, Software Engineering Radio. Masters of Scale has only seven episodes so far, but the guest line-up is mind blowing: Brian Checky, Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg.

What I’m reading

Moral Letters to Lucilius by Seneca I am reading a Polish translation, and I find it quite archaic. Nonetheless, the book is exceptional, and I have no words to describe the timeless, practical steps by which the reader might confront life’s problems.

What I’m listening to while I work

Noisly My preferences: fireplace and summer night sounds make me feel super relaxed; wind and train is an interesting combination of sounds for productive time. Overall, great background noises + timer. Simplicity FTW!
